Blooming Blossom

The designer integrates five culturally significant flowers, which are lotus, peony, chrysanthemum, calla lily and magnolia, into one whole piece. Flowering period of the five different flowers alternates throughout the year, implying happiness all year round. This is a piece of transformable jewelry developed from traditional jade carving and metalworking. Hand carved natural nephrite jade and set in 18K gold with diamonds inlaid，corundum set in the centre. The flower bangle disassemble to 5 different petal pendants, a cocktail ring and a simple bangle for multiwear needs.

The Dome

The design takes its inspirations from the unique blend of Greek, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman architectures. The Dome ring, as unique in its design that it is a modern interpretation of famous Domes of Hagia Sophia. The design is an outcome of the Phd research that Fatma Altinbas had held in Grand Bazaar for 2 years, about the history of jewellery manufacturing in the area. The Dome ring is crafted from 18-carat rose gold and adorned with a total of 0.22 carats of G color, VS1 clarity diamonds, both on the inside and outside.

Blending structure with fluidity, its design takes inspiration from spikes, ancestral elements of protection on sensitive life forms, while aligning with the natural contours of the human body. The articulated, U shaped spike formation adorns the back of the wrist, visible beneath a sleeve in a relaxed position; while the oval shaped, flexible tube back provides structure, ensures easy wear, and enhances comfort with a secure fit. The piece can be worn alone, stacked or paired with a watch.

This multifunctional handcrafted ring is designed with the idea of being versatile. It can easily transform into a pendant or a brooch as needed. Each side of the ring is delicately designed. Even the back side is handmade and adorned with tanzanite stone. Despite its large size, the ring is comfortable to wear. The concept behind designing Queen of Lake is Monet's Water Lilies and the unique application of colors by Monet, who suffered from visual impairment, but that didn't stop him from his iconic creative path. This ring is a reflection of a designer's innovative artistic vision.
