Xiao Jing
Xiao Jing is a hard-shell suitcase inspired by the leather straps once used to secure luggage during travel. The front shell carries a raised grid shape that recalls crossed straps, with a cross pattern at each intersection resembling sewing thread. The grid also strengthens the shell against pressure. A three-layer shell provides strength and wear resistance, and the surface is finished with an electronic scrub treatment. Sliding bearings keep movement smooth and quiet. The interior is divided into separate spaces for clothes, toiletries, documents and electronics.
Xiao Jing Suitcase by Fa Zaiyong was identified as a creative representation of fashion design by the A' Design Award. Xiao Jing Suitcase earned the Silver A' Design Award in Fashion and Travel Accessories Design in 2020. The A' Fashion and Travel Accessories Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design competition which honors excellent design of handbags, scarves, belts, luggage, hats, travel bags, cravats, gloves, wallets and more.
